The CTD has a male compression inlet and a male outlet. Inlets range from 3/8" to 3/4". Outlets range from 3/8" to 1" (MPT). Has optional 1/8" unloader port on hex section. Check valves control the flow of air into the receiver tank. When the compressor reaches unload pressure the check valves closes, preventing the backflow of air from the receiver tank into the discharge supply line. To find out what size you need, measure the outside diameter of the supply line that comes from the pump that goes into your check valve. If it measures 3/8", then this diameter is the first measurement. ie CTD3812 means that the supply tube is 3/8" wide and the 12 means that the tank opening on the other end is a 1/2" pipe thread. To determine the size of the end that fits into the tank, measure the OD of the threads, then subtract 1/4" because pipe sizes always measure 1/4" over the actual size
